Yahoooo! After 30 days of flat-out, non-stop, torture-full writing, I’ve completed my first Nanowrimo and won :)) What a crazy challenge; I’m not sure if I would do it again, but maybe it’s like childbirth and I’ll forget all the pain by this time next year and start on book number three! It is true that after a month of pushing those words out (I think I’ve pushed the birthing analogy a bit too far now!) you do have something amazing to show for it – a first draft, all laid out and ready to be edited, which makes it all worth while. I feel a tune coming on people, dedicated to all my fellow Nano’s crossing the finishing line today – we are the champions!
Congratulations 🙂
Thanks Michelle and a big congratulations to you too! I think you were really brave to use Nano as an opportunity to write in a different genre (or else you’re a glutton for punishment!). TGIO – Thank God it’s over!
Hehehe. Yeaaaah, probably the glutton for punishment thing. It’s actually really fun to write in a more mature genre, though, because now I can curse whenever I want … although potentially I’m a bit over excited and have saturated the text with F bombs, lol.
Congrats! I’m hearing that a lot of writers won this year. A feat to be proud of!
Thanks Kate 🙂 It certainly did help knowing that there were a lot of writers slogging it out with me!
