This is the magical tale of Edith Lane, who sets off to find her fortune in the beautiful city of Paris.  Fortune, however, is a fickle thing and Edith ends up working in a vintage bakery in the positively antique town of Compiègne.  Escaping heartache and singledom in Ireland, Edith discovers that the bakery on Rue De Paris is not exactly what it seems and that some ghosts from the past are harder to escape than others.  A heart-warming story that is sure to appeal to all of the senses, The Mysterious Bakery On Rue De Paris is a mouth-watering journey of love, liberty and la vie en rose.

Hope you all enjoy reading this quirky little story about a woman who set out on a journey to Paris, but found so much more…

Still wondering what The Cross Of Santiago is all about? ¬†Here’s a little taster…

‚ÄúOne cross will bind two couples across four centuries.‚ÄĚ

An ancient love story, locked in the heart of a sunken Armada ship, is destined to find its happy ending… even if it takes four hundred years.

Amanda Morrison does not believe in love or destiny, but when a long-lost aunt leaves her a mysterious golden cross in her will, her uneventful life in Galway City is turned upside down. The arrival of Xavier, a charismatic yachtsman in search of treasure and adventure, complicates life further, as their paths seem destined to cross.

While Amanda tries to uncover the truth about her family’s past, a strange series of events ensues, involving drama on the high seas, hypnosis, scary sheep, Armada treasure and five-a-side football championships. Though, not all in that order.

Over-achievers of the world unite!

So what would any sane, rational thinking person do when they’re about to launch their debut novel? ¬†Why, launch a craft business at exactly the same time of course!! ¬†I may or may not have mentioned that I’m a bit of a craft junkie and part-time artist (well I mean I’ve got to fill up those hours when I’m not writing, right?). ¬†In fact I’ve been doodling for the past ten years and I’ve got quite good at it. ¬†So much so that I’m ready to launch my unique designs on the unsuspecting citizens of my home town any day now.

I’ve spent months designing a contemporary product for the Irish gift market and so I’m actually very excited about its launch. ¬†However I’m a bit freaked out that it’s coinciding with the launch of my novel. ¬† Honestly, if I was trying to plan it this way, I couldn’t have pulled it off. ¬†Still, in an attempt to comfort myself, I’m thinking it’s actually a good thing in terms of cross-promotion and all that other marketing jargon that usually makes my eyes roll. ¬†Some of my favourite authors are artists (Mark Haddon, Audrey Niffenegger) and I’m always interested to see that other side of their creativity. ¬†So as soon as I have officially launched (i.e. got my products into some retail outlets) I’ll put photos of my designs up here. ¬†In the meantime, here’s one of my most recent paintings “The Cherry Wood”.
